Luminaries from art, fashion, entertainment and media descended upon the Starrett-Lehigh building in Chelsea to soak in more than 200 never-before-seen paintings, sketches, sculptures, books and items from the late icon Jean-Michel Basquiat. Organized by his family, the exhibition event, fueled by Bombay Sapphire, hosted Spike Lee, Wyclef, Padma Lakshmi, Vogue’s Anna Wintour, Anna Sui, Marcus Samuelsson, Jeffrey Wright, David Adjaye, Anna Sui, Christian Siriano, Dieter Buchhart, Michael Musto, King Princess, Heron Preston and Telfar Clemens, and many others. Siriano designed ensembles for the Basquiat clan and took a moment to gather the family for a group snapshot. The exhibition is now on view.
